In a significant boost to sports infrastructure in Sattari taluka, the Goa State Urban Development Agency (GSUDA) has decided to undertake comprehensive development and beautification of the playground at Narayan Nagar in Honda.
Works worth approximately Rs 1,14 crore have been proposed, and an e-tender has been officially issued. The project is expected to greatly enhance sports facilities in the area and provide modern amenities for local youth.
As per the tender notification issued by GSUDA, the project includes overall development of the playground, beautification, and creation of essential civic infrastructure along with other allied works.
Key components of the project include road improvements, drainage systems, landscaping, compound wall construction, and pedestrian pathways. Additionally, installation of electrical illumination, dugouts, and other necessary facilities has also been proposed, which is expected to transform the ground into a prominent attraction in the region.
Interested contractors have been invited to participate through the e-tendering process, with an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs 2,29,650 specified for applicants.
The proposal for upgrading the Narayan Nagar playground, which holds importance for the Honda area, was submitted to GSUDA through local MLA Deviya Rane.
